WHAT TYPES OF DEGREES DO YOU OFFER?

We offer Certificates, Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees.

 

WHEN DO CLASSES MEET?

Classes meet one night per week Monday-Thursday from 6pm until 10pm throughout the year. Each undergraduate class is between four to six weeks in length and MBA classes are eight weeks. Online courses are also available.

 

HOW LARGE ARE THE CLASSES?

Classes typically have between 12-22 students.

 

WHO ARE THE INSTRUCTORS?

Our instructors hold a minimum of a Master’s degree or higher and are currently working in their area of expertise.

 

WHO IS THE TYPICAL STUDENT?

The average age of our students is between 25-45 years. Most have about 10 years of work experience.

 

DO YOU ACCEPT TRANSFER CREDITS?

Yes, students may transfer in a maximum of 80 credits into the program. College credits should come from regionally accredited schools with grades of C- or better. Please call or email if you would like an unofficial evaluation of your prior course work.

 

MAY I ATTEND THE ACCELERATED PROGRAM AT CUW WITHOUT HAVING PREVIOUS COLLEGE CREDITS TO TRANSFER?

Yes.

 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM?

The length of time to complete the degree depends on the number of credits transferred into the program. In the accelerated course format, students can complete about 30 credits in one academic year.

 

CAN I RECEIVE CREDIT FOR TRAINING I HAVE DONE AT WORK?

Students may earn college credit for in-house company training or professional development courses taken through professional associations or commercial training firms. ACE, PONSI, LOMA, and AIB are examples of organizations that validate for-credit course work completed.

 

CAN I RECEIVE CREDIT FOR MY WORK AND LIFE EXPERIENCE?

Yes. Students may do this through the portfolio process. You may earn up to 21 elective credits (toward a BA), or 10 credits (toward an AA). Students must document their learning, demonstrate that they gained college-level knowledge from their experience, and submit a petition for credit.

 

CAN I TEST OUT OF COURSES?

Yes, students may earn up to 30 elective credits by taking DANTES/CLEP tests.

 

DO YOU ACCEPT MILITARY CREDITS?

Military credits are accepted. Please contact your military branch to have transcripts mailed to Concordia. Credit is granted based on the evaluation of an official AARTS Transcript, Community College of the Air Force Transcript, or for military service prior to 1981, (DD 214 documentation needed).

 

DO YOU OFFER FINANCIAL AID?

Yes, adult students are reviewed in the same way as traditional undergraduate students for financial aid which includes grants and loans. You will need to submit the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in order to be reviewed. Our staff can guide you through this process.
