CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY WISCONSIN TO OFFER BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING COMPLETION PROGRAM IN SHEBOYGAN SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- Concordia University Wisconsin officials announced today that they will begin offering a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) completion for the RN program on January 20, at their Adult and Continuing Education Center location within Sheboygan Lutheran High School, 3323 University Drive, Sheboygan.
The program is designed specifically for RNs who hold an Associate degree or diploma that would like to earn a Bachelor of Science degree. Classes will be offered in an accelerated format on Tuesday nights starting January 20, 2009. Courses will last 5-7 weeks, and individuals will have the option of choosing from a variety of courses in Parish Nursing, Women’s Health, Legal Issues and more. Concordia’s BSN Completion program is CCNE accredited, and it fully prepares its graduates to enter the University’s Master’s program if they so desire upon completion.
Concordia has offered an undergraduate nursing program since 1982, and an accelerated program for RNs since 1989. The University has offered Graduate Nursing programs since 1994, and in June, it received approval to begin offering a Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree.
The University will be hosting a number of information sessions at Sheboygan Lutheran High School for those that are interested in learning more about the program. Information Session dates include: Monday, October 20, from 9-11 a.m.; Monday, October 27, from 9-11 a.m.; Monday, November 3, from 9-11 a.m.; Monday, November 10, from 12-2:30 p.m.; Monday, November 17, from 12-2:30 p.m., Monday, December 1, from 3-5 p.m.; and Monday, January 5, from 9-11 a.m. All participants should bring their former transcripts with them. Concordia will accept up to 90 transfer credits.
The cost of the program is $345 per credit.
