Students involved in the visual arts at Concordia may choose a major in Art, Art Education (both undergraduate and graduate), Graphic Design, Interior Design, Photography, or Illustration. Studio courses and opportunities range from Digital Design and Photography to Painting, Ceramics, Stained Glass, Printmaking, and Sculpture. The university’s foundry is the only iron-casting facility on the North Shore.
The Concordia University Art Gallery hosts exhibitions by area artists as well as student and faculty exhibitions. The Art Guild provides opportunities for all students, majors and non-majors, to meet guest artists, visit Milwaukee and Chicago area exhibitions and museums, promote area arts events, and participate in special studio events.
